Patagonian Ranch Experience – Estancia Punta del Monte

Located about 46 km from Coyhaique in the Aysén Region of Chilean Patagonia, Estancia Punta del Monte offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the landscapes, culture, and traditions of Patagonian ranch life. This family-owned estancia, founded in 1975, lies where the native forests of the Andes meet the Patagonian steppe, creating a remarkable landscape of open valleys, lenga forests, wildlife, and traditional sheep farming. Visitors can experience the daily life of a Patagonian estancia while exploring the surrounding landscapes that have shaped the gaucho culture of southern Patagonia.

These activities allow visitors to connect with the natural environment, local culture, and traditions of rural Patagonia.

A Cultural Landscape of Patagonia

The estancia is part of a region shaped by sheep ranching, gaucho traditions, and the unique landscapes of the Aysén steppe, where forests, rivers, mountains, and open grasslands coexist. Visitors will discover not only spectacular landscapes, but also the living cultural heritage of Patagonia.
