Protected wilderness areas access
(Capacity reached)
The benefit granting free access to State Protected Areas in the Aysén Region, currently administered by the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), which is undergoing an institutional transition toward the new Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service (SBAP), was originally available for the first 100 registered participants of the conference. The 100 available places are already full, and this benefit is no longer available. If new vacancies become available, registered participants will be contacted in order of registration.

This collaboration aims to support the organization of the conference and to encourage early registration. The benefit will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 100 confirmed participants and will no longer be available once this number has been reached. The specific protected areas included in this benefit will be defined by CONAF within the overall limit of 100 beneficiaries. The benefit will be valid during the pre-conference period (21-23 March 2026), the main conference (24-27 March 2026), and the post-conference period (29 March-5 April 2026).

Please note that this benefit applies exclusively to State Protected Areas of Chile located in the Aysén Region and administered by CONAF, and does not include private lands or other conservation areas, even if they are located within or adjacent to national parks or reserves. The exemption from entrance fees will remain valid during the pre-conference, conference, and post-conference periods, but will always be subject to the specific regulations, conditions, and operating hours of each park. In some parks, such as Cerro Castillo National Park, access routes may include private land; therefore, participants are advised to plan their visits in advance.
