Key messages for participants
The conference has more than 250 confirmed registered participants. Some field trips have already reached full capacity, and places for the remaining options are limited. A new field trip option has been added and is now available in the registration form.
Participants are kindly asked to plan their travel in advance and to review the recommendations of SERNATUR, as well as the requirements of SAG, CONAF, and SBAP, particularly in the case of international travel.
Abstract submissions are currently closed. Submissions may be reopened only on demand.

Hotel Dreams in Coyhaique is offering special rates for both Chilean and international registrants of the IUFRO Forest Environment Division 8 Conference 2026. These rates apply to stays between March 23 and 28, 2026, and reservations must be made no later than February 24, 2026.
To access the discount, registrants must book directly with the accommodation provider and provide their conference registration or participation confirmation letter issued by the IUFRO Forest Environment Division 8 Conference 2026 Organizing Committee at the time of reservation. Reservations must be requested by email at reservas@mundodreams.com, indicating participation in the conference, the discount code, full name, and credit card details to guarantee the booking. Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or deposit.

In accordance with Chilean tax law, foreign guests paying in USD or with an international credit card are exempt from VAT. All reservations include breakfast served in the hotel restaurant, access to all available facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free parking.
Location from the main square
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., and check-out is by 12:00 p.m. For early arrivals, the hotel recommends booking the previous night to guarantee room availability (additional charges apply). Confirmed reservations must be canceled in writing at least 24 hours before arrival (by 3:00 p.m. on the previous day) to avoid charges. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a one-night fee.
